Carson was born to parents Bruce Branstine and Carol Freeman on 9 September 2000 in Irvine, in Orange County, California. She is 22 years of age and her height is 5 feet 11 inches (1.80 meters).

The athlete’s father Bruce is a certified financial planner based in Orange, California, United States. Her dad is American whereas her mother Carol is from Toronto, Canada. She represented the United States from 2014 to 2017 and now represents Canada professionally.

Branstine is the youngest of three daughters of her parents. She has two sisters named Cassidy Branstine and Constance Branstine. Her sisters played collegiate tennis at the University of California Irvine.

Her Career Journey

Carson reached a career-high ITF junior ranking of No. 4 on 17 July 2017. Likewise, she won her first junior singles title in 2014 at the G4 in Boca Raton, Florida.

The 22-year-old played her first junior Grand Slam main draw at the 2015 US Open.  Moreover, she won the Australian Open and French Open junior doubles titles with partner Bianca Andreescu in 2017.

Branstine first went to the University of Southern California and later transferred to the University of Virginia. Despite being redshirted at both universities, she did not play because of meniscus surgery.
