Bianca Andreescu, age 20, was born as Bianca Vanessa Andreescu on 16 June 2000 in Mississauga, Canada. She is the daughter of her Romanian parents, Maria Andreescu and Nicu Andreescu. Maria had to move to Canada after completing her graduation in Romania for the purpose of serving as a chief financial officer of Global Maxfin Investments Inc. in Toronto. Fortunately, her husband also landed the job in Canada after his graduation.

While Bianca was 7, she moved with her family to Romania. Later on, she moved back to Canada to pursue her career in Tennis and was raised by her two Romanian grandmothers.

Standing tall at a height of 5 feet and 7 inches (1.7 m), Bianca received her high school diploma through an online course at Bill Crothers Secondary School, Toronto.

Career, Ranking, And Earnings

Largely focused for her recent debut Singles championship at Indian Wells Open aka BNP Paribas Open on 18 March 2019, Bianca Andreescu marched into the tennis court at a very early age. Her professional significance came in 2016 when she claimed the top seed in both girls’ singles and doubles at the Australian Open. She had to sadly withdraw from the competition after foot injury which kept her from tennis for six months.

Bianca came back stronger in 2017 bagging the 2017 Australian Open and French Open junior doubles titles with Carson Branstine. While her 2019 started on a high note with the victory over first seed Caroline Wozniacki and sixth seed Venus Williams at the ASB Classic.

Finally, Bianca had her hands on first singles title beating Angelique Kerber  6-4,3-6,6-4 in the finals of the 2019 Indian Wells Open. With the trophy, Bianca bagged $1,704,919 as the victory earnings. The victory leaped Bianca to the career-high 24th position in the Women’s Tennis Association rankings. It was a proud moment for her as well as her coach, Sylvain Bruneau.

The 20-year-old was previously in a relationship was with Benjamin Sigouin. Benjamin, aged 21 is a tennis player from Canada who has a career-high doubles ranking of No. 474.
