According to Courier-Journal, there was a report of Bill leaving WDRB News also claiming about him writing an email on 5 July 2019 to leave the Fox-affiliated. However, the Louisiana Mayor, Greg Fischer believed both he and his wife would return back to the media broadcasting post their retirement.
