Tyler Adams is an American soccer player, who plays as a midfielder for RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga. He represents the United States men’s national soccer team at an international level, making his debut at the age of 15.

Tyler Shaan Adams, aged 21 was born on 14 February 1999 in Wappingers Falls, New York, United States. He was raised by single mother Melissa Russo as his father was not around in his life. His mother is white and his biological father is black.

His extended family consists of his stepfather and three brothers; Darryl, Dylan & Donovan. Darryl now plays college football at Marist College.

Adams continued his study at Wappinger’s Roy C. Ketcham High School via distance learning after he was accepted into US Soccer’s U17 residency program in Bradenton, Florida. There, he graduated in 2017.

Tyler joined the New York Red Bulls Academy at 2011. At the 16 years of age, he began his professional career with the New York Red Bulls II. He made his debut with the New York Red Bulls first team in a friendly match against Premier League team Chelsea on 23 July 2015. He signed his first senior team contract on 3 November 2015.

In January 2019, the New York RedBulls traded Adam to the Bundesliga club, RB Leipzig for $3 million. He made his Bundesliga debut on 27 January 2019 in a 4–0 victory against Fortuna Düsseldorf. Recently, he signed a two-year contract extension until 2025 on 1 May 2020.

On the international level, Tyler has represented the United States at the U-15, U-17, and U-20 levels. He made his senior team debut in a 1–1 draw with Portugal on 14 November 2017.
