The 29-years-of-age player was born as Kenneth Lamont Bazemore Jr. on 1 July 1989 in Kelford, North Carolina, the United States. He was raised by his parents, Kenneth and Glynis Bazemore.

Standing tall at the height of 6 feet and 5 inches (1.96 m), Kent attended Bertie High School in North Carolina. There, he developed his love for basketball and later took it further to the Old Dominion University.

Career Stats, Contract, Salary

After going undrafted in the 2012 NBA Draft, Kent joined the Oklahoma City Thunders for the Orlando Summer League. Later, he joined hands with the Golden State Warriors for the Las Vegas Summer League before signing with the club on 26 July.

However, the small forward was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers on 19 February 2014. His season was cut short following a foot injury. Kent later signed with the Atlanta Hawks on 23 September 2014. He recorded a season-high 20 points in a 115-100 loss to the Charlotte Hornets on 28 March 2015.

Earlier on 12 April 2019, Kent panned a $19.2 Million contract option with the Hawks for the 2019-20 season. However, he moved to the Portland Trail Blazers with the trade on 24 June 2019. As part of his earlier contract, Kent is set to receive the salary of $19,269,662 in 2019-20 season.
