Nicholls was born to British parents on 26 October 1994 at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital. Her full name is Olivia Ann Nicholls.
The 28-year-old’s father is Ian Philip Nicholls and her mother is Ann Elizabeth Nicholls. Her parents have supported her all the way through her tennis career.
Olivia is the youngest of two children of her parents. She has an elder brother named Henry Nicholls who is a teacher by profession.
The player spent her childhood with her parents and brothers in the Norfolk village of Acle. There she was educated at Acle Primary School and Acle High School. Moreover, she completed her A Level qualifications at East Norfolk Sixth Form College in Gorleston-on-Sea, Norfolk.
Afterward, she earned her BSc in Sports Science with Management at Loughborough University.
Her Career Journey
Olivia began playing tennis at the age of five after being introduced by her mother at Acle Tennis Club in Norwich. She continued to play during her high school and college days.
The 5-foot-9-inch represented the GB University team in the World University Games in 2015 and 2017. Moreover, she won her first doubles title in the ITF Women’s Circuit at GB Pro-Series Bath, United Kingdom in November 2015.
Nicholls has now won 16 doubles titles in the ITF Women’s Circuit. She made her WTA Tour debut at the 2022 Lyon Open in the doubles draw alongside partner Alicia Barnett. Likewise, she won her WTA doubles title at Championnats de Granby in Canada in August 2022.
