American journalist Manu Raju works as the Senior Congressional Correspondent at CNN. The former reporter for Politico covers the United States Congress and campaign politics and has a working tenure in multiple D.C. news outlets.

The TV personality was born on 9 February 1980 in Downers Grove, Illinois, to parents, Tonse N.K. Raju and Vidya Raju. As a family belonging from India, his parents migrated from Karnataka city during the 1970s. They later worked at the National Institutes of Health. His other family member includes his brother, Sharat Raju, who is a film and TV director. Sharat is into Hollywood scene since 2003 with some great TV work credits like 9-1-1: Lone Star (2020), Good Girls (2018), and Mistresses (2016).

Talking about his education, he went to Hinsdale South High School, graduating in 1998. Later he chose the University of Wisconsin–Madison to complete his graduation in 2002 with a degree in business administration.

CNN Working Tenure & Previous Working Experience!

Manu got the fortune to work with Inside Washington Publishers, covering environmental policy. Then his reporting was Congressional Quarterly, The Hill, and Politico for almost seven years until joining CNN in September 2015. Almost two years later, he got featured on the cover of India Abroad newspaper, which dubbed him the “King of the Hill” for his reporting on key decision-makers in the United States and on Capitol Hill.

In the same year, CNN had to retract he was accused of being involved in the Trump Campaign, which involved hacks of WikiLeaks. Manu never felt to apologize, and CNN was also assured that it would not take any disciplinary action towards him since he followed CNN‘s editorial standards process, despite a mistake.

His career commenced working for WMTV in Madison, Wisconsin, before moving to Washington, D.C., in 2002.
