Earlier, Llarisa worked for three years as a news and entertainment reporter at Lation Vision TV in New York. She interned as a reporter at NBC Miami in 2012.
Abreu began her broadcasting career at The Accuweather Network in 2014. There, she landed a job as a bilingual on-air broadcaster until 2017.
Afterward, she joined KNSD NBC 7 San Diego and started to work as the weekend weather anchor and primary weekday fill-in anchor during the week. Moreover, she helped to launch the weekend newscast for Telemundo20.
In February 2020, she joined the CBS3 morning team as a meteorologist. As of now, she appears as a weather anchor for the network.
