The Raiders player was born on 24 September 1990 as Vontaze DeLeon Burfict Jr. Burfict in South Los Angeles. His parents are Vontaze Burfict, Sr. and Lisa Williams and his father was a former cocaine dealer spending his entire life in imprisonment. His other family member is an older half-brother, DaShan Miller, and their mother, Lisa who has a job of a city transit bus driver took care of them. Lisa walked the aisle for the second time and migrated to Corona with her two sons where they studied at Corona Centennial High School.

Vontaza stands at the height of 6 feet 1 inch (1.85 m) and weighs around 116 kg.

Before that, he played for his high school football team where they became victorious to win the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) title. Vontaze stands a praiseworthy stats in his junior year with 130 tackles, four sacks, two interceptions, and one fumble recovery.

After high school, he got to play for college football at USC Trojans but chose to Arizona State. His other impressive stats with Arizona in the mid-2010 season is 30 tackles, five tackles for a loss, two sacks and three pass break-ups. Although he was undrafted his 2012, the Cincinnati Bengals signed him on a three-year contract worth $1.44 million on 29 April 2012. One of the parts of his contract was his signing bonus of $1,000.

The eligible NFL bachelor is neither single nor else he has a wife. However, he is in a longtime relationship with his high school sweetheart Brandie Labomme since 2011. His girlfriend is a graduate of Arizona State University holding a BA in business communications.

Together, the couple shares two daughters named Aiyanna born on 30 December 2014, and a second daughter born on 24 May 2017.

The duo has been together over the years since their high school days. They first met while they both were attending Centennial High School. Previously, she worked as a teacher assistant at Frisco Centennial High School from 2006 to 2008.
