The media personality faced three racial misconduct in the span of an hour. It was on 2 November 2020 when she was scheduled to wrap up two days covering Hurricane Zeta. While working through the airport an old came near to hear and said, Ni Hao-Ching Chong. Ni Hao means hello in Chinese and Ching Chong is a racial slur. Minutes later, a man approached her and asked, Does she speak English?. To which, she replied she speak Spanish and the man mocked speaking a fabricated Asian language.

Another instance was a person asking her where she was from?. In disbelief, the person asked her where was actually from after when she replied California. The faulty conclusion of some racial predators is still the barriers to embrace seclusion, but Amara is thankful to receive tons of messages from her social media supporters.

It has been several years of Amara’s married life with her husband Thomas Walker. The couple tied the wedding knot on 22 April 2012 at Salzburg, Austria.

Thomas is a double board-certified Facial Plastic Surgeon based on Georgia. She announced her pregnancy through a Twitter post in January 2018. However, she is yet to reveal information about the baby.
