Lisowski Is A Cancer Survivor

Jack was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma at the age of 16. He found out that he had the disease after getting a lump on his neck checked out.

Lisowski recovered from cancer after nine months of chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Since then, he has been involved in advocating cancer. Moreover, he is the ambassador of the Teenage Cancer Trust.

His Career Journey

Jack began to play snooker at the age of 7. He was trained by Gloucester professional Nick Pearce at an early age. Moreover, he received the inaugural Paul Hunter Scholarship in 2009, which would allow him to practice with professional players.

The player turned professional in 2010 after finishing first in the 2009/2010 PIOS rankings. He qualified for five ranking tournaments, including the World Championship, and reached his second final as a professional in the 2012/13 season.

Lisowski has reached six ranking finals in his career. Nevertheless, he became runner-up each time, losing three finals to Judd Trump, two to Neil Robertson, and one to Mark Selby. Currently, he ranks #17 in the snooker world rankings.
