The 24-years-of-age rapper was born with the name Megan Jovon Ruth Pete on 15 February 1995. She hails from Bexar County, Texas, the United States. She was raised in the neighborhood of South Park in Houston by her rapper mother, Holly Thomas.  Holly used to take Megan to recording sessions, instead of putting her in daycare.

Eventually, Megan moved to Pearland, Texas, a suburb of Houston with her mother when she was 14, She lived there until she was 18. She began writing her own raps at age 16 and revealed to her mother that she wanted to rap. However, her mother urged her to pursue rapping as a career after she turns 21.

Speaking about her education, Megan attended Pearland High School and graduated in 2013. Subsequently, she enrolled at Prairie View A&M University. As of recent, she is pursuing a degree in health administration at Texas Southern University.
