In 2012, he changed his jersey number 15 to 89 and was about to sign a year contract with Seahawks worth $2.187 million on 7 March 2014. A few months later, he instead chose to agree on a new two-year, $13 million contract on 29 May 2014 which also made his contract expansion of three years.

With a remarkable career run, Dough and the Seahawks accepted to a four-year contract extension worth $46 million in 2016. A part of his contract was $24.25 million guaranteed.
