A year later, he moved to minor league and played for the Class A Lakewood BlueClaws of the South Atlantic League in 2003. Almost three-season, he got back to Phillies’ active squad, and in 2008, the club paid him $500,000. The very next season, he and the team agreed upon a three years contract worth $20.5 million.

In 2012, Phillies and he penned down another contract worth $15 million for a year.
