Cody Kessler is an American football quarterback for the New England Patriots of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at the University of Southern California for four seasons.

Cody David Kessler was born on 11 May 1993 to parents Don Kessler and Christie Kessler. He grew up with his brother Dylan Kessler in Bakersfield, California.

Kessler pursued his early education at Centennial High School in his hometown. He then went to the University of Southern California to play college football. He stands at a height of 6 feet 1 inch (1.85 meters) and weighs 215 lbs (98 kg).

His Career; NFL, Stats

Cody played for the USC Trojans football team from 2012 to 2015. He finished his college career with stats of 10,339 yards, 88 touchdowns, and 19 interceptions.

The Cleveland Browns drafted him in the third round (93rd overall) of the 2016 NFL Draft. Kessler made his first NFL career start completing 21-of-33 attempts for 244 passing yards as the Browns lost to the Miami Dolphins on 25 September 2016.

After playing for two seasons, he was traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars on 28 March 2018. He played for the Jaguars for a season and was released on 9 May 2019. Afterward, the Philadelphia Eagles signed him and subsequently waived him in August 2019. He signed with the New England Patriots on 25 September 2019. The Patriots released him on 15 October 2019 but resigned him on 28 October.
