His NHL Journey
Pesce played college hockey at the University of New Hampshire of the Hockey East. After his freshman year, he was selected by the Carolina Hurricanes as a third-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
The 6-foot-3-inch then joined the Hurricanes AHL affiliate, the Charlotte Checkers where he spent two seasons. He made his NHL debut for the Hurricanes in a 5–2 defeat against the San Jose Sharks 24 October 2015.
Nevertheless, on 22 February 2020, he suffered a right shoulder injury in the game against the Toronto Maple Leafs. He was ruled out for the remainder of the campaign.
