In 2011, he joined WSSP 1250 AM The Fan in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He then started The Bill Michaels Show, which aired during the weekday midday slot from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
After a decade of the show, Bill announced he will be leaving the station and the show on 8 January 2021. Citing the reason, he stated that there comes a time in your time when some stresses begin to drag you down.
However, he did not specify the stress, which led him to take a brief break from the airwaves.

Michaels did not reveal his future plan after leaving the show. He remained active on his Twitter and Facebook, where he earned thousands of followers.
Meanwhile, on 26 January 2021, he revealed through his Facebook post that his new podcast The Bill Michaels Podcast will begin on the 26 of January 2021.
Well, it looks like Bill is back in the sportscasting job after a brief break.

Bill married his wife Sherry DuChateau in July 2018. Sherry is an insurance and healthcare professional, who now serves as a Senior Underwriting Consultant at Lincoln Financial Group.
Moreover, she is the mother of two children; a daughter named Alexa and a son named Easton from her previous relationship.
It is not known whether Bill and his wife Sherry are together or separated now.
Previously, Bill was in a relationship with a lady named Judy. In the 2001 interview, he mentioned Judy as his fiancée. However, there is no further detail about the relationship.
