Greyserman was born Max Alexander Greyserman to American parents on 31 May 1995. His parents raised him in Short Hills, Millburn, New Jersey, United States.
The golfer’s father Alex Greyserman is a hedge fund manager. A graduate of Rutgers University, he is the Chief Portfolio Strategist at LAB Quantitative Strategies, LLC. Moreover, his mother Elaine Greyserman was a collegiate tennis player at Rutgers University earning varsity letters from 1990 to 1992.
Max’s parents are Ukranian and immigrated to the United States from the former Soviet Union as teenagers. He is accompanied by an elder sister Jacquie Greyserman, and two younger brothers, Dean Greyserman and Reed Greyserman.
Standing at a height of 5 feet 10 inches, he graduated from The Peddie School in 2013. Afterward, he attended Duke University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy in 2017.

Greyserman has been married to his lovely wife Alyssa Smith. The pair tied the wedding knot in an intimate ceremony on 3 December 2022.
The couple dated for several years before getting married. They first met while they were student at Duke University.
Alyssa is a graduate of Duke University with a degree in Psychology. Additionally, she also played on the tennis team. She now serves as a product manager at a digital music service platform, Spotify.
Earned PGA Tour Cared In 2023
Greyserman had a remarkable junior year, winning the 2012 Golf Pride Junior Classic and the 2013 N.J. Junior Championship. He also won the 2015 NJSGA Amateur Championship and the 2014 NJSGA Open.
Collegiately, he played at Duke University for four seasons. As a junior, he tied for second place at the Princeton Invitational with a 7-under, 135 which was his best collegiate finish.
After graduating, he turned professional in 2017 and played on the Canadian Tour. He earned Korn Ferry Tour status for the first time in 2019 and regained his card through the COVID-impacted, 2020-21 combined season.
Max earned his first PGA Tour card after finishing ninth, with 1,170 points on the Korn Ferry Tour in September 2023. His first PGA Tour event was at the Sony Open at the Waialae Country Club in January 2024.
