Wright, with a height of 5 feet 11 inches (1.80 meters) grew up around the richness of Washington’s African-American community. He attended St. Albans School for Boys in Washington, DC. He studied at Amherst College in Massachusetts, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in political science in 1987.
