Vanessa Lachey Family: What Is Her Ethnicity?

Vanessa Joy Minnillo was born on 9 November 1980 at USAF Clark Regional Medical Center in Angeles City, Pampanga, Philippines. She is the daughter of Vincent Charles Minnillo, a retired U.S. Air Force crew member and Donna Minnillo, a Laboratory Medical Technologist. Her father is an American citizen of Italian and Irish descent and her mother is from Manila, Philippines. She is of mixed ethnicity because of her parents’ multiracial background.

Her parents separated in 1983 and later divorced in 1986. Afterward, her mother adopted a son Vincent Jr. and relocated to Turkey after getting remarried. The young Vanessa spent some years in Turkey and later relocated to her father’s state in 1991.

Education

During her early years, Vanessa lived in Washington, California, Nevada, Florida, Germany, and Japan because of her father’s service in the Air Force. She attended eight different schools in nine years. She was a cheerleader at the Roman Catholic Bishop England High School.

Vanessa was a host on MTV’s Total Request Live when she met Nick Lachey in 2006. Nick was married to singer Jessica Simpson and they split in November 2005. Afterward, their love started to blossom and she was even featured in a video for his song “What’s Left of Me.” The couple made their romance public and shared an on-air kiss during MTV’s New Year’s Eve show in December 2006. They briefly split in early 2007 and reconciled their romance in October 2009.

Meanwhile, the pair decided to step up their relationship after getting engaged in November 2010. The lovebird eventually tied the wedding knot on 15 July 2011 on Necker Island, Sir Richard Branson’s private island in the British Virgin Islands. The couple has been relishing their married life as of 2020.

Vanessa and Nick are the parents of three children. They welcomed a son named Camden John Lachey on 12 September 2012. Vanessa then announced her second pregnancy in July 2014. She gave birth to a baby girl, Brooklyn Elisabeth Lachey on 5 January 2015.

Furthermore, the couple announced that they are expecting their third children in September 2016. Their third child, a son named Phoenix Robert Lachey was born a day before the Christmas on 24 December 2016.
