The player was born as Tedy Lacap Bruschi on 9 June 1963 in San Francisco, California to parents, Anthony Bruschi Sr. and Juanita Lacap. The Filipino and Italian ancestry is one of three children who went to Roseville High School in Roseville, California. Tedy’ sister, Natalia is a celebrity Men’s Groomer while the other name is Lauren. Their parents got divorced, so his mother went to exchange wedding vows with a professional tennis player, Ron Sandys.

Tedy’s Stroke History

The 46-year-old suffered a second stroke on 5 July 2019 which was made public by his foundation, Tedy’s Team. It was on 16 February 2005 when he had a stroke post three days playing at the Pro Bowl. He was diagnosed with a mild stroke after having a congenital heart defect and eight months later, he was medically cleared on 16 October 2005.

He has also written a book Never Give Up: My Stroke, My Recovery, and My Return to the NFL in 2007. The publication talks about his stroke experiences and hardships, including the recovery he went through.

Career & Net Worth

Before a proper NFL start, he played for the University of Arizona team, Arizona Wildcats football team from 1991 to 1995. A year later, the New England Patriots picked him in the third round of the 1996 NFL Draft. Tedy committed 12 years of incredible playing form with Patriots until 2008 where his salary was around $1,000,000.

He declared his retirement on 30 August 2009 on the broadcast episode of Sunday Night Football. As if for now, he has a net worth of $12 million.

Tedy’s Wife & Kids

The former and his wife, Heidi Bomberger Bruschi shares over two decades of beautiful matrimony. They went to exchange wedding vows in 1997. His wife has always been supportive of Tedy work as an American Heart Association spokesperson and Tedy’s Team.
