Tony Kemp is an American professional baseball second baseman and outfielder, who currently plays for the Chicago Cubs of Major League Baseball (MLB). He was recently traded to the Cubs from Houston Astros on 31 July 2019.

Anthony Allen Kemp was born on 31 October 1991 to parents Rick Kemp and Catherine Kemp. He grew up along with an older brother Corey and an older sister Ashley in Franklin, Tennessee.

Kemp pursued his high school education from Centennial High School. Afterward, he went to Vanderbilt University and played college baseball for the Vanderbilt Commodores baseball team. The baseball player stands at a height of 5 feet 6 inches (1.68 meters) and weighs 165 lbs (74 kg).

Tony began his professional career, signing a contract with Houston Astros after he was selected in the fifth round of the 2013 MLB draft. He then started to play with the Corpus Christi Hooks of the Class AA Texas League. Moreover, he played with the Fresno Grizzlies of the Class AAA Pacific Coast League.

Kemp played in 94 games for the 2018 Astros, batting .267/.352/.401 with 6 HR and 30 RBI, playing primarily in left field until September 2018. On 31 July 2019, the Astros traded him to the Chicago Cubs for Martín Maldonado. While in contract with the Astros, he used to earn an average salary of $584k per year.
