Markelle Fultz is an American basketball player, who plays as a point guard/shooting guard for the Orlando Magic of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Previously, he played college basketball for the Washington Huskies for the 2016-17 season.

Markelle was born on 29 May 1998 to American parents in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. His father abandoned the family and he was raised by his mother Ebony Fultz. He is the youngest in his family and has an older sister named Shauntese Fultz.

Fultz attended DeMatha Catholic High School in Hyattsville, Maryland. Afterward, he went to the University of Washington to play college football. He stands at a towering height of 6 feet 3 inches (1.91 meters) and his listed weight is 195 lbs (88 kg).

Markelle played for the Washington Huskies in the Pac-12 Conference for the single 2016-17 season. Then the Philadelphia 76ers selected him as the consensus first overall pick in the 2017 NBA draft.

In his first regular-season NBA game, Feltz posted 10 points, 3 rebounds, and 1 assist in 18 minutes of play coming off the bench in October 2017. However, in November 2018, he was ruled out because of a shoulder injury.

Markelle was traded to the Orlando Magic in exchange for Jonathon Simmons and two draft picks in February 2019. In his Orlando Magic debut, he provided reminders of his potentiality with the fantastic performance on 23 October 2019.
