The American football running back, Kenyan Drake makes into the news headlines after his recent trade to the Arizona Cardinals. Before the switch, Kenyan played for the NFL side, Miami Dolphins.

The 25-years-of-age player was born on 26 January 1994 in Powder Springs, Georgia, the United States. Though not much detail of his parents can be found on the internet, it is known that his father, William Drake parted ways with his mother. Kenyan grew up alongside his siblings- a brother named Isaiah Drake, a younger sister, and another brother.

Standing tall at 6 feet and 1 inch (1.85 m), Kenyan attended Hillgrove High School in his hometown of Georgia. There, he kicked-off his football career. Eventually, he joined the University of Alabama and played football with his college side from 2012 to 2015.

The young kick returner’s NFL journey began when the Miami Dolphins selected him in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft. Subsequently, he penned a four-year, $3,381,260 worth contract with the Dolphins. The deal included an $821,260 signing bonus and $821,260 guaranteed.

Kenyan ringed his NFL debut in a 12-10 loss against the Seattle Seahawks in the 2016 season opener. Playing all 16 games as a rookie, he recorded 179 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Coming to the first six games of the Dolphins’ 2018 season, Kenyan recorded 210 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown to go with 21 receptions for 145 receiving yards and a receiving touchdown.

Recently on 28 October 2019, Kenyan was traded to the Arizona Cardinals for a conditional sixth-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
