Eric’s professional NFL career started with the Philadelphia Eagles. He was signed by the Eagles in the 2015 NFL draft of round 2 and became the 47th overall pick. Eric penned a four-year contract with the Eagles worth $4.87 on 6 May 2015 to make his NFL debut. His playing highlights with the Eagles hold a great stats of 31 combined tackles, five pass deflections, and one interception.

After a year playing with Eagles, Eric was traded to the New England Patriots on 7 September 2016. In his very first season with the Patriots, Eric was left with an injury for the first five weeks. However, he got to finish the season with a record of 29 combined tackles (22 solos), five pass deflections and one interception in 9 games with seven starts.

The cornerback is the most recent signing of the Miami Dolphins. He secured a central place with the Dolphins after signing a year contract of $3.5 million on 14 March 2019. Likewise, Eric expressed his gratitude towards his former team, Patriots in a heartfelt social media sharing.

• In his college career, he played for the University of Utah in their soccer team, Utah Utes football team from 2011 to 2014. Altogether he was a part of 13 games with his stats of 69 tackles, one interception, and one sack.
• Similarly, his career shined in 2014 when he got shifted from safety to the cornerback position. During the season, his stats were 10 out of 12 appearances including 59 tackles and one interception.
