The 33-years-of-age baseball star was born as Carlos Eduardo González on 17 October 1985. He grew up in his home town of Maracaibo, Venezuela, but relocated to the United States to pursue his professional career.

Carlos, who stands tall at the height of 6 feet and 1 inch (1.85 m), joined Liceo Udon Perez, Maracaibo, Venezuela for his high school study. Subsequently, he saw himself stepping in the baseball field.

Carlos González signed with the Arizona Diamondbacks as an international free agent on 3 August 2002. A year later, he initiated his professional baseball career for the Rookie League Missoula Osprey, a Diamondbacks’ affiliate.

Carlos was traded to the Oakland Athletics on 14 December 2007. He ringed his MLB debut at the age of 22 against the Texas Rangers on 30 May 2008. Carlos got his first career hit in his grand stage debut. However, on 12 November 2008, Athletics traded him to the Colorado Rockies following a disappointing season.

Playing for the Rockies, Carlos became the sixth player in MLB history to complete a cycle with a game-ending home run when he achieved the feat against the Chicago Cubs on 21 July 2010. Following his incredible stint with the Rockies, Carlos penned a seven-year, $80.5 Million contract extension on 11 January 2011.

Carlos’ stay at the Rockies ended in 2019 when he signed a minor league contract with the Cleveland Indians on 19 March. However, he again signed a minor league deal, this time with with the Chicago Cubs on 30 May 2019. In his debut for the Cubs, Carlos registered a hit and also a game-saving diving catch.

The baseball right fielder enjoys compelling off-field life with his wonderful family. He is a married man and has been so since walking down the aisle with his Venezuelan wife, Indonesia Riera on 20 October 2012.

The married pair welcomed twin daughters to this world in 2014. Apart from that, Indonesia has a son from her previous relationship, whom Carlos adopted. Carlos loves spending quality time with his wife and kids, and they also are so much fond of him.
