While racing offseason, he took part in the North High School wrestling team, qualifying for a CIF Central Section title in his weight class his senior year. Kevin then chose Bakersfield College to major in architecture, but later dropped out in order to pursue a full-time racing career. The adorable pair first met in 2000 at Michigan International Speedway where at the time she was working in public relations for fellow driver Randy LaJoie. The couple lives in Charlotte, North Carolina with their son Keelan, born on 8 July 2012, and daughter Piper Harvick, born on 28 December 2017.
