American professional basketball player, Julius Randle plays for NBA team, New Orleans Pelicans. He won the gold representing FIBA Americas U18 Championship and is also the 2013 recipient of the McDonald’s All-American.

The player was born as Julius Deion Randle on 29 November 1994 in Dallas, Texas to parents, Mathew Randle and Carolyn Kyles. His mother born on 1 September 1964 was a former Basketball player at Texas. She single-handedly raised Julius and his sister, Nastassia Caldwell.

Julius went to Randle attended Prestonwood Christian Academy. During his senior years, his stats were an average 32.5 points and 22.5 rebounds per game. He then went to play for his college, Kentucky from 2013 to 2014. His college stats were an average 15.0 points, 10.4 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in 30.8 minutes per game in 40 games.

Career, Contract & Stats

The Los Angeles Lakers picked him in the 2014 NBA draft. Sadly after playing just 14 minutes against the Houston Rockets, he broke his right tibia on 28 October 2014. Likewise, in the 2016 offseason, he was a part of United States men’s national team ahead of the Summer Olympics. He committed three years with Lakers until the Pelicans signed him in a two-year contract worth $18 million on 9 July 2018.

The athlete has an incredible stats where he also recorded his career-high 45 points in a 122–110 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers on 15 March 2019.
