Chris Paddack is an American professional baseball pitcher, who currently plays for the San Diego Padres of Major League Baseball (MLB). He previously played college baseball for the Texas A&M Aggies.

Christopher Joseph Paddack was born on 8 January 1996 to parents Jim Paddack and Charlotte MiMi. He grew up with older brothers Jason and Michael Paddack in Austin, Texas.

Paddack pursued his early education from Cedar Park High School in Cedar Park, Texas. Afterward, he went to play college baseball for the Texas A&M Aggies. He stands at a height of 6 feet 4 inches (1.93 meters) and weighs 195lbs (88 kg).

His Career; MLB, Stats

Chris was drafted by the Miami Marlins in the eighth round of the 2015 Major League Baseball draft. In June 2016, he was traded to the San Diego Padres. However, in July 2016, he was diagnosed with a torn UCL.

Paddack returned from the injury in 2018 with the High-A Lake Elsinore Storm. Later, he was added by the Padres to their 40-man roster after the 2018 season. He made his MLB with a start versus the San Francisco Giants on 31 March 2019. There, he allowed one run over five innings and recorded seven strikeouts. In June 2019, he was optioned to Lake Elsinore as a way to lessen his amount of innings pitched but was recalled.

Chris signed a contract with the MLB side, San Diego Padres in 2019. According to his contract, he will earn a yearly salary of around $555,000 in 2019.
