Mayfield attended Lake Travis High School and played as a quarterback for the Cavaliers football team. Afterward, he got enrolled at the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma.

The young NFL talent stands at the height of 6 feet 1 inch, and his listed weight is 215 lbs (98 kg).

Baker started his college football career at Texas Tech Red Raiders. He then transferred to the University of Oklahoma in 2014 and played for three-season until 2017. He was selected by the Cleveland Browns with the first overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.

Mayfield made his NFL debut in Week 3 on Thursday Night Football against the New York Jets in September 2018.
