American professional baseball pitcher Dustin May is in the news following his major league debut for the Los Angeles Dodgers. The talented youngster showed great signs playing as the starting pitcher against the San Diego Padres.

Before firing his way into the Major League Baseball (MLB), Dustin May showed his class performance in the minor league playing for five different teams.

The 21-years-of-age baseball player was born as Dustin Jake May on 6 September 1997, in Justin, Texas, the United States. He was raised by his middle-class working parents. His father works for Little Debbie while his mother is an assistant principal at a middle school. Dustin has one younger sister and one older half-brother.

He stands tall at a height of 6 feet and 6 inches (1.98 m) and weighs around 180 pounds (82 kg). He is the graduate of Northwest High School, located in Justin, Texas.

Career Stats

Dustin May was selected by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the third round of the 2016 MLB draft. He was supposed to be playing college baseball for the Texas Tech Raiders, but instead penned a contract with the Dodgers for a $1 million signing bonus.

Following his move, the youngster made his professional debut in the minor league with the AZL Dodgers. After spending the whole season there, he went on to play for Great lakes Loons and the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes. Subsequently, he played for Tulsa Drillers before getting promotion to the AAA Oklahoma City Dodgers on 27 June 2019.

Dustin finally made into the major league following a call-up on 2 August 2019. He ringed his debut as a Dodgers player against the San Diego Padres.

Dustin May Wins Big At 2020!

The astonishing player became a part of the Dodgers selection while the 2020 season was shortened amidst COVID-19. One of the primary reasons for his selection was post-Clayton Kershaw’s back injury prior to the game. He still holds the youngest player to start the opening day since Fernando Valenzuela in 1981.

Fortunately, Dustin won his first triumph on 4 August 2020 after striking out eight in six innings against the San Diego Padres. Likewise, he made 12 games appearance starting ten in the first to secure a 3–1 record and 2.57 ERA in 56 innings. Likewise, he pitched three scoreless innings over two games in the 2020 NLDS against the San Diego Padres and allowed two earned runs in 4​2⁄3 innings over three games against the Atlanta Braves in the National League Championship Series (NLCS).[16] May pitched in two games of the 2020 World Series, working three total innings and allowing three runs to score on five hits.
