The player was born as Sergei Andreyevich Bobrovsky on 20 September 1988 in Novokuznetsk, Russian SFSR, Soviet Union. His parents, Andrey and Larisa raised him. Sergei stands at a height of 6 feet 2 inches (188 cm) tall and weighs around 83 kg.

Career & Net Worth

Sergei was one player considered at the 2006 NHL draft but Russian players were not given a green signal. So, he went to play for Metallurg Novokuznetsk in Russia for four seasons and got a three-year staggering contract with Flyers on 6 May 2010.

Two years later, Flyers had no option but to trade him to the Columbus Blue Jackets on 22 June 2012. The 2012/13 season was NHL lockout, so he had allied with KHL team, SKA Saint Petersburg. Likewise, a year later, his two years contract was worth $11.25 million on 1 July 2013.

After committing six incredible years at Jackets, he signed a seven-year contract worth $70 million contracts with the Panthers on 1 July 2019. A part of his contract also includes an annual average of $10 million.
