Scott Borgerson rose to the limelight after being linked with Ghislaine Maxwell. It is believed that they are husband and wife and Scott is defending Ghislaine on multiple charges related to the sexual abuse of young women and girls by Jeffrey Epstein.
Scott Borgerson and his wife Ghislaine Maxwell tried to keep their marriage secret for years until it was revealed in court in the summer of 2020.
Moreover, the report emerges that Ghislaine transferred all her assets to her husband Scott after their marriage.
Who Is Scott Borgerson?
Scott Borgerson, aged 45, is a former CEO of a tech company. He is the son of Chris Borgerson and Sara Borgerson.
His father is a former marine and Deputy Sheriff of Jefferson County, Missouri. Moreover, his mother was a high school teacher. He grew up in rural Missouri with his family.
Scott was the CEO of CargoMetrics Technologies, a shipping data analytics company in Boston, Massachusetts, United States.
He founded the company in 2010. However, he resigned from the company in October 2020 due to the growing media interest surrounding his link with Ghislaine.
Borgerson comes from a military background. He served as an officer in the U.S. Coast Guard for a decade.
According to Crunchbase, he earned a Ph.D. in International Relations from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy in 2006.

Scott Borgerson Was Previously Married To Rebecca
According to the sources, Scott married Rebecca in May 2000 in Palm Beach, Florida. The duo has a 13-year-old son and a 10-year-old daughter.
After more than 13 years, Borgerson filed for divorce from his wife Rebecca, citing an irreconcilable difference in 2014. However, he tried to reconcile with his wife after six months of filing a divorce.
But it did not work, and the divorce was finalized in December 2015.
The divorce records show that Scott had an alcohol problem and allegedly showed wrong behaviors to his wife and young children.
Was he Really Married to Ghislaine Maxwell?
Scott and Maxwell reportedly first met in 2014 at the Arctic Circle Assembly in Reykjavik. He reportedly left his wife and children for Maxwell, who is 14 years older than him.
It was in 2014 when Scott told his then-wife Rebecca that he was going to London on business and he would send videos.
Rebecca was devastated when she saw the videos of Scott and Ghislaine hugging and kissing actually in Miami. Afterward, they parted their ways and he moved out.
According to DailyMail, Maxwell and Borgerson lived together at his $3 million secluded oceanfront mansion in Manchester-by-the-Sea since 2016.
However, after four years, it was disclosed that they got married secretly.
Ghislaine was arrested in July 2020 on multiple charges related to the sexual abuse of young women and girls by Jeffrey Epstein.
Their relationship got disclosed in court which was believed to protect Maxwell’s fortune. Both Scott and Ghislaine have agreed to a $22.5 million bail bond. Moreover, it includes five further bonds coming to a total of $5 million.

However, his family is unaware of this marriage. His father Chris expressed both surprise and disbelief at the news of his son’s marriage with Maxwell.
Well, it is not known the marriage was for love or money.
