Savannah DeMelo is an American soccer player who plays as a midfielder. She plays for the Racing Louisville FC in the National Women’s Soccer League and the United States Women’s’ national team.

Savannah was born to her parents Robert DeMelo and Kim DeMelo on 26 March 1998. Her full name is Savannah Marie DeMelo.
The player grew up in a football-loving family as her father was a football player. Robert played for 20 years in Portugal and now coaches Beach FC, a football club in Long Beach, California.
DeMelo’s father played an influential role in her career choice. Initially, she was a gymnast and did not think of playing soccer. Her father inspired her to play soccer and even coached her in the early days.
One of the three children in the family, she has two younger sisters named Makayla DeMelo and Skylar DeMelo. Makayla is also a soccer player who is playing collegiate at Loyola Marymount University.

DeMelo began her soccer journey at Beach FC where her father was a coach. She played for the United States in the 2016 U-20 Women’s World Cup and helped the U.S. win the 2015 CONCACAF Women’s U-20 Championship in Honduras.
From 2017 to 2021, she played collegiate soccer at the University of Southern California. She ended her collegiate career by scoring 17 goals and 28 assists.
Savannah was selected by Racing Louisville as the fourth pick in the 2022 National Women’s Soccer League Draft. On 25 March 2022, she made her professional debut in the 2022 NWSL Challenge Cup match against the Houston Dash.
