NBC Anchor Hoda Kotb Welcomes Daughter No. 2!

It has been two years since Hoda Kotb and her partner adopted a baby daughter in 2017. Now, the television personality is expanding her family to four, adopting another daughter.

American journalist Hoda Kotb is now a mother of two!

The co-anchor of NBC’s Today reveals that she adopted another girl name Hope Catherine Kotb. She announced the news during a phone call into her show on 16 April 2019.

Moreover, the official Instagram page of the Today show shared a picture of Hoda with her new baby and her 2-year-old daughter. She kept her newborn daughter’s middle name as a tribute to her best friend Karen Swensen‘s own daughter Catherine, whose father died back in September 2018.

Congratulations are in order for @hodakotb, who adopted a second little girl, Hope Catherine, this week.

Previously, Kotb hinted regarding her new adoption on her official Instagram account, sharing a picture that reads: “Choose Hope.” on 15th April 2019.

The 54-year-old adopted a first baby girl named Haley Joy with her partner Joel Schiffman in February 2017. Hoda and Joel have been together since 2013 after meeting at an event for Wall Street professionals. Joel, aged 61 is the Vice President and Director of financial institutions at Janus Group, based on New York.

Hoda was married to former University of New Orleans tennis coach Burzis Kanga in 2005. However, they got divorced after three years in 2008.

Hoda Kotb’s Bio; Career & Net Worth

Hoda was born on 9 August 1964 to Egyptian parents Sameha Kotb and Abdel Kader Kotb in Norman, Oklahoma. She grew up with brother, Adel Kotb and a sister, Hala Kotb in Morgantown, West Virginia. After attending Fort Hunt High School, she went to Virginia Tech from where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in broadcast journalism.

Initially, Kotb worked as an anchor and reporter for CBS-affiliated WWL-TV from 1992 to 1998. She became a correspondent for Dateline NBC, joining in 1998. She joined the Today show on NBC News in 2008 and now serves as a co-anchor. Moreover, she is a New York Times bestselling author, who has written five books.

The NBC veteran has an astounding net worth of $30 million from her three decades of journalism stint.
