American actress Georgia Engel took her last breathe at the age of 70 on 12 April 2019. The news of her death in her hometown in Princeton, New Jersey is circulating the media tabloids.

Georgia Engel friend and executor John Quilty told The New York about her death. John also added that the cause was undetermined, since Georgia was a Christian Scientist, did not consult doctors.

Hollywood Mourns Georgia’s Demise

The Hollywood industry is still mourning the loss of a legendary actress in her rights. Some of them were American actress, Betty White, age 97 where she shared an image of Georgina hugging a bear and captioned the photo, “Friends Forever” says it all.

Georgia has a net worth of $8 million all from her acting career of 48 years since 1971. She made her first acting debut as the role of Margot in the 1971 American comedy flick, Taking Off. Some of her other commercial hit movies as a voice artist include Open Season 3 (2010), Open Season 2 (2008) and Open Season (2006).

Apart from her big screen, she even gave her time to act on television. The name of her few hit TV shows are One Day at a Time (2018), Hot in Cleveland (2012) and Drillmaster (1991) to name a few.

The artist was born as Georgia Bright Engel on 12 April 2019 in Princeton, New Jersey. She was the only child of her parents, Ruth Caroline (née Hendron) and Benjamin Franklin Engel, who was a Coast Guard admiral. Engel went to Kodiak Island Borough School District, and Walter Johnson High School. Then she attended the Academy of the Washington Ballet to complete her graduation. Likewise, she obtained her theatre degree attending the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

Georgia has essayed the role of Georgette Franklin in the 1977 CBS series, The Mary Tyler Moore Show. In the show, her boyfriend turned husband was the late actor, Ted Knight who essayed Ted Baxter.
