Former Kentucky Star, Jared Lorenzen Passes Away At 38

Jared Lorenzen took his last breath on 3 July 2019 at the age of 38. The former Kentucky quarterback was admitted to ICU after battling with constant health issues including acute heart and kidney problems.

It is indeed a great loss for the football league to lose a gem like Jared Lorenzen. The former Giants star was the 1998 recipient of the Kentucky Mr. Football honor.

Right after the giant of a player’s death, his family gave a statement which was made public by the founder of Kentucky Sports Radio named Matt Jones.

Apart from the statement, Kentucky football team offered their condolences to the player through their social media on 3 July 2019 which reads, A

We lost a great one too soon today. Our hearts are with the Lorenzen family.

We love you, 22.

Furthermore, Jared’s former team, New York Giants were left devasted after knowing his demise.

The former player was immediately admitted to ICU after his health got deteriorated on 28 June 2019. He was on dialysis after suffering from cardiac and renal issues with all his close family members aside him.

Career & Net Worth

The athlete remained undrafted at the 2004 NFL Draft and was a free agent for Giants. Two years later, his debut with Giants was against the Baltimore Ravens in 2006. The Indianapolis Colts signed him on 24 July 2008 and a year later by Kentucky Horsemen on 10 February 2009. During the time, he took his retirement and chose the quarterbacks coaching role at Highlands High School on 23 March 2010.

In 2011, he became the general manager of the Northern Kentucky River Monsters of the Ultimate Indoor Football League. He was also a part of Owensboro Rage of the Continental Indoor Football League partway in 2013 and returned to the River Monsters. The player had a net worth of $2.7 million.

The player was born as Jared Raymond Lorenzen on 14 February 1981 in Covington, Kentucky. He went to Highlands High School in Fort Thomas and attended his college, Kentucky. He used to stand at a height of 6 feet 4 inches (1.93 m) tall and weighed around 129 kg.

The 38-year-old former wife was Tamra Lorenzen who owns a bachelor of science in business administration and management from Northern Kentucky University. By profession, she is a registered nurse with a degree as a family nurse practitioner from Indiana Wesleyan University and was also the owner of John Phillips Restaurant from 2008 to 2013. They were high school sweethearts who share a daughter Taylar, born in July 2002 and a son Tayden born in 2009. However, they had already ended their marriage in a divorce.
