American journalist Alex Wagner serves as a co-host of The Circus, a documentary series on Showtime. Moreover, she is now taking responsibility as a CBS News correspondent since 2016.

The native of Washington D.C. was born as Alexandra Swe Wagner on 27 November 1977. She was raised in a Catholic family by political consultant father Carl Wagner and mother Tin Swe Thant.

Wagner pursued her high school education from Woodrow Wilson High School. She got graduated from Brown University with art history and literature in 1999.

Initially, Alex was the cultural correspondent for the Center for American Progress. She then worked as editor-in-chief of The Fader magazine from 2002 to 2007. Wagner also gained the experience of working for news blogs, Politics Daily and The Huffington Post.

In 2010, she joined MSNBC and hosted various programs on the network for six years, before moving to The Atlantic.  She has been serving as a correspondent for CBS News since 2016. Additionally, she co-hosted CBS This Morning: Saturday from 2016 to 2018.
