As the new 2020 MLB season is about to kick-off, Max Meyer becomes a major pick of a giant team. He is the former recipient of Freshman All-American by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) and as a third-team All-American by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA).

American baseball outfielder Max Meyer plays for the MLB team, The Miami Marlins. He is the former player of the Minnesota Golden Gophers wearing jersey number 23.

Max Meyer was born on 12 March 1999 and spent his entire childhood in Woodbury, Minnesota. Talking about his family, his parents Kathy and Kent Meyer raised him alongside an older brother, Ben. Both his parents together attended St. Olaf College.

He went to Woodbury High School and played baseball and hockey. Over theorem, he won the high school academic award at the time of completing his education and transitioning from junior to senior years. Max stands at a height of 6 feet (1.80 m) and weighs around 185 lbs.

The 21-year-old became the third overall pick during the 2020 MLB Draft. A young lad who is seeking the opportunity to play with the biggest baseball league around the globe is now associated with The Miami Marlins.

After high school, he played college baseball at the University of Minnesota during his junior year. During his senior year, he went 7-1 with a 1.01 ERA and 51 strikeouts in 41.2 innings pitched including a superb batting .421 and became the  All-Metro by the Star Tribune. Although he got drafted in the 34th round of the 2017 MLB Draft picked by the Minnesota Twins, he did not sign.

In his true freshman season at the Gophers, he finished the season tied for the school record for saves in a season with 16 and a 2.06 ERA with 54 strikeouts in 43.2 innings pitched. He then got associated with the Team USA Collegiate National Baseball Team during the summer. During his sophomore season, the player went 5-3 with two saves and posted a 2.11 ERA and 87 strikeouts and got the recognition of the second-team All-Big Ten Conference and a semifinalist for the John Olerud Award.
