The 6-foot-6-inch grew up with an elder brother Tyler Gilbert in Winter Park, Florida, United States. Tyler now serves as Pricing & Data Analytics Manager at The Walt Disney Company.

Gilbert pursued his high school education from Wekiva High School in his hometown. Moreover, he graduated with a major in Business Systems and Analytics from the Stetson University.

His Journey To MLB, Contract

Logan played collegiate baseball for the Stetson Hatters for three seasons from 2016 to 2018. In his junior year, he pitched to an 11-2 record and a 2.72 ERA over 16 starts.

The Seattle Mariners selected him 14th overall in the 2018 MLB draft. He signed a $3.88 million contract with the Mariners in June 2018.

Afterward, he was assigned to the Everett AquaSox, but he was shut down for the season due to an illness. He began the 2019 season with the West Virginia Power, and he later promoted to the Modesto Nuts.

In July 2019, he got promoted to the minor league team Arkansas Travelers. However, he did not play in a game in 2020 due to the season’s cancellation because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Logan got promoted to the major leagues for the first time on 13 May 2021. On the same day, he made his debut on the Mariners’ 2-4 loss with the Cleveland Indians, allowing 4 runs in 4.0 innings.
