The 28-years-of-age golfer was born with the name Kurt Shun Kitayama on 14 January 1993, in Chico, California, the United States. He is among the two children of his parents Clifford Kitayama and Rumiko Kitayama.

Kurt holds Asian ethnicity as his mother is from Japan. Kurt grew up alongside his brother, Daniel Kitayama, who played at the University of Hawaii at Hilo for two years (2007-2008) and later came to work as a professional caddie.

Talking about his education, Kurt, who stands tall at a height of 5 feet and 7 inches (1.70 meters), graduated from Chico High School in 2011. Following his high school graduation, he attended the University of Nevada-Las Vegas from 2011 to 2015 where he continued his amateur golfing career.

His Professional Golfing Career, Net Worth

After turning professional in 2015, Kurt played mostly on Web.com Tour in 2016 and 2017 and remained 1174th in the world rankings at the end of 2017. The following year, he competed on the Asian Tour where he won the PGM Darulaman Championship in Malaysia.

Kurt earned some good finishes on the Asian Tour including tied for 4th in the New Zealand Open and joint runner-up in the Royal Cup.  He also finished joint 4th in the Asia-Pacific Diamond Cup Golf. Later in November 2018, Kurt finished tied for 3rd place in the European Tour Q-School and earned a place on the 2019 European Tour.

The promising golfer eventually won the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open in late 2018 by two strokes. Deservingly, he became the fastest player to two wins in European Tour history when he bagged the Oman Open in March 2019. From his professional success, Kurt certainly bags a commanding net worth, which remains under review at the moment.
