Ty Jerome, age 21, was born as Ty Jeremy Jerome on 7 July 1997. He hails from New York City, New York and is one of the five children of his parents, Mark Jerome and Melanie Walker. Ty’s family completes with his two brothers and two sisters.

The American young basketball star attended Lona Preparatory School in New Rochelle, New York. There, he initiated his amateur basketball career and later took it to the University of Virginia.

College Career Stats

Ty’s senior season in high school was cut short due to a hip injury. Later, on 2 September 2014, he came strong with his commitment to a college career with Virginia Cavaliers.

As a freshman, he averaged 4.3 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 1.5 assists playing as a backup point guard. Ty took his starting point guard position during his sophomore year and recorded a career-high 31 points against Boston College on 30 December 2017.

Ty’s major career success came on 8 April 2019 when he lifted the NCCA Division I college basketball national championship with his team. Virginia triumphed over Texas Tech Red Raiders with 85-77 scoreline. Ty played a significant part with 16 points, 8 assists, and 6 rebounds.
