Jummy Olabanji is an award-winning American journalist, currently serving as a weekend anchor and weekday reporter at NBC4 in Washington. She reports each morning from the Live Desk for the News4 Today team.

Jummy was of age 36 was born in 1984 in Fairfax County, Virginia, the United States. Her birthday falls on 22 April and her birth sign is Taurus. She the eldest of three children of parents Bola Olabanji and Christiana Olabanji. She has a younger brother named Olaide Olabanji and a younger sister named Tomi Olabanji.

Olabanji is African-American by ethnicity as her parents are Nigerian. Meanwhile, she is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists.

Standing at a height of 5 feet 6 inches, she attended Westfield High School in Chantilly, Virginia. After high school, she went to Virginia Tech and graduated with a BA in Mass Communication at age 22. Her Journey To NBC4

Earlier, Jummy did her intern at NBC-affiliated stations, WRC-TV in Washington, D.C., and later at WSLS-TV in Roanoke, Virginia. Moreover, she worked as a news assistant at CNN for several months.

Olabanji worked as a reporter at a dual CBS/Fox-affiliated WCAV-TV and a CBS-affiliated WTKR-TV. From 2011 to 2017, she worked as an anchor and reporter at an ABC-affiliated WJLA-TV. There, she anchored the weekend evening newscasts.

In 2017, she joined WNBC, also known as NBC4 as a weekend anchor. Based in New York, she now reports each morning from the Live Desk for the News4 Today team.

Wedding Details; Meet Her Husband

Well, the 36-year-old is a married woman. She has been keeping the wedding vows with her longtime love Darren Sands for more than three years. The couple tied the wedding knot on 24 June 2017 at International Country Club in Chantilly, Virginia.

The wedding was cultural, reflecting both their heritages. The couple has been together for more than a decade. After dating for years, Darren proposed to her in Washington D.C. in 2010. Her husband Darren now serves as a staff writer at The Washington Post. He is a graduate of Hofstra University with a degree in journalism.
