Josh Hart is an American basketball player, currently playing as a small forward/shooting guard for the New Orleans Pelicans of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for Villanova University.

Josh was born on 6 March 1995 in Silver Spring, Maryland to parents Moses Hart and Pat Hart. He has two siblings; a sister named Aimee and a brother named Moses Joseph Hart.

Hart pursued his early education at Sidwell Friends School in Washington, D.C. Later, he went to Villanova University to begin his college football at an NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship. He stands at a height of 6 feet 5 inches (1.96 meters) and weighs 215 lbs (98 kg).

During his freshman season, he had impressive college stats. He made an average of 7.8 points and 4.0 rebounds and also got the recipient of the Big East Rookie of the Week three times. Likewise, in the Big East tournament quarterfinals, he made 18 points and eight rebounds, but despite such impressive stats, the team lost to Seton Hall. 

For his sophomore year, he became the leading scorer with 17.7 points per game. The great display of impeccable stats continued in junior season also making an average of 15.5 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game of the entire season. 

In his final season, he scored his career-high stats of 37 points with 11 rebounds and four assists when the college team won over Notre Dame by 74-66.

Josh played at Villanova Wildcats men’s basketball for four seasons from 2013 to 2017. Afterward, the Utah Jazz selected him in the first round of the 2017 NBA draft with the 30th overall pick. He traded to the Los Angeles Lakers along with the 42nd overall pick.

In his first NBA start in December 2017, he recorded a double-double against the Cleveland Cavaliers, scoring 11 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. In July 2019, the Lakers traded him to the New Orleans Pelicans for All-Star Anthony Davis.

Josh signed a 4-year contract with the Los Angeles Lakers, worth $8,474,999. It includes $8,474,999 guaranteed and an annual average salary of $2,118,750.

The couple who are dating since nine years from November 2011 got engaged on 28 December 2020. His girlfriend now fiancee is 25 years of age who celebrates her birthday on 26 May. She was born in 1995. Shannon went to the University of Maryland School of Nursing. She is the school’s alum who also represented the football team. 

The girlfriend’s now-fiancee is an aspiring nurse whose passion has always been in healthcare leadership roles.
