Jo Lasorda got married to the former professional baseball pitcher and manager, Tommy Lasorda, back on 14 April 1950. They initially met in Greenville, South Carolina when Tommy was playing for the Greenville Spinners.
Eventually, the pair bought a home in Fullerton, California, and settled there. Later on, they welcomed two kids together: a son named Tom Lasorda Jr. and a daughter named Laura Lasorda.
Unfortunately, back in 1991, their son Tom (also known as Spunky) died of complications related to AIDS. Following the incident, Tommy denied that his son was gay and insisted his son died of cancer.
