Inside His Career
Sasto began his career as a line chef in a newly opened restaurant in Ukiah, California, just after his graduation. He then worked for two years at RN74 under chef Jason Berthold, where he took the role of sous-chef.

After working for three years at Cotogna restaurant under chef Michael Tusk he served as executive sous chef at Lazy Bear restaurant in San Francisco. He then moved to Los Angeles and worked as an executive chef at the former Cal Mare restaurant.
While working there, he competed on the American cooking reality television series Top Chef: Colorado. He became the finalist in the competition. He was also featured in Top Chef All-Stars and in Food Network’s inaugural “Hot List” 2022.
