The actor was born as Frederick Allan “Rick” Moranis on 18 April 1953 in Toronto, Ontario. To complete his education, he went to an elementary school. Rick’s Jewish ancestors are of Hungarian extraction, coming from Kolozsvár, Kingdom of Hungary (present-day Cluj-Napoca, Romania).

His height is 5 feet 5 inches tall with a proper weight.

A Single Father’s Role Post Wife’s Death

Rick, back in 1986, married a woman named Ann Belsky. His late wife was a costume designer by profession. Together the couple shared two children, Rachel and Mitchell. Almost five months post their wedding; his wife took her last breath in February 1991 because of cancer.

From then onwards, he took his career as a backseat and raised his two kids as a single father.
