The talented baker is the eldest daughter of parents Colin Shedden and Tiffany Shedden. Her father Colin serves as the Director of the British Association for Shooting and Conservation in Scotland.
Similarly, her mother Tiffany is a florist. She has two younger sisters in the family named Hebe Shedden and Willow Shedden.
Hebe serves as a Project Specialist of Clinical Technologies at Almac Group, a Pharmaceuticals company. She spent her childhood with her parents and sisters in Dunkeld, Perthshire.
Flora pursued her high school education at Breadalbane Academy in Aberfeldy. Afterward, she went to study architecture at Edinburgh College of Art.
Her Career Journey
Flora was an art student when she competed on the sixth season of The Great British Bake Off series in 2015. She impressed the judges with her complex and innovative creations for nine weeks.
However, she got eliminated on the ninth week being the runner-up in the 2015 finale.
In January 2017, Shedden published her first cookbook Gatherings: Recipes for Feasts Great and Small. Following that, her second book Aran: Recipes and Stories from a Bakery in the Heart of Scotland was published in October 2019.
Furthermore, Flora presented a food program on BBC Radio Scotland from 2016 until 2018. Likewise, she wrote a regular column for The Telegraph.
Shedden now runs an artisan bakery named ARAN Bakery in her hometown of Dunkeld since 2017.
