Earlier, Francis interned at the City of Holland TV, 95.3 WCFX, and Ignition Media Group. She also spent some years as an intern at WJBK-TV FOX 2 Detroit before holding a full-time job there.
As a reporter, she worked at News Central 34 for nearly three years. There, she pitched story proposals, wrote content for evening newscasts, and reported live at 5 pm. She also worked as a reporter at HOMTV 21 in Okemos, Michigan.
Francis spent more than four years at FOX 17 : WXMI TV in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where she worked as an early morning midday anchor and news reporter. Likewise, she worked as a co-anchor and reporter at an ABC-affiliate, WKRN-TV in Nashville, Tennessee for three years.
In 2022, she joined FOX 2 Detroit and now works as a morning anchor and reporter. She holds numerous awards for her writing and reporting works including Michigan Association of Broadcasters award, a Mark of Excellence Award from the Society of Professional Journalists, and multiple Emmy Awards.
