The player was born as Drew Christopher Brees on 15 January 1979 in Dallas, Texas to parents, Eugene Wilson “Chip” Brees II, and Mina Ruth. His father is a prominent trial lawyer while his mother, who died in 2009 was an attorney by profession. He has a brother named Reid born in 1981 and a half-sister, Audrey, from his father’s remarriage to Amy Hightower, daughter of the late U.S. Representative (D-TX) Jack English Hightower.

Drew went to Westlake High school in Austin, Texas, and Purdue College. The Saints star stands at the height of 6 feet 0 in (1.83 m) and 95 kg.

The San Diego Chargers picked him in the 2001 NFL draft. Right after the 2005 season, he and the team signed a five-year contract worth $50 million where his paid salary was $2 million. One year later, he went to Saints New Orleans and offered him $10 million in guaranteed money the first year and a $12 million option the second year. On 14 March 2006, he and the team agreed upon a 6-year contract worth $60 million.

Six years later, he signed another alluring 5-year contract with Saints worth $100 million on 13 July 2012. He is very committed to playing for Saints after signing a two year contract extension worth $50 million on 13 March 2018. In the same year, his net worth was $50 million.

Drew’s Wife Was His College Sweetheart

The 40-year-old relishes great matrimony of over 16 years. He and his wife, Brittany Dudchenko, knew each other from college and mutually decided to walk upon the wedding aisle in 2003. They met during a party organized at Purdue University.
